VinylVideo™ is presented at the European Media Art Festival in Osnabrueck.
A new Picture Disk by net artist Olia Lialina (RUS) will be released for this occasion.
Her disk (vv rec. no. 19) is a collaborative work with the staff of www.teleportacia.org. It contains video reports of five passengers (Sofia Aleinikova, Axel Schafmeister, Celso Reeks, Roza El-Hassan, Raitis Smits), who had been unsuccessfully teleported in february '99. Olia Lialina chose this system for the long durability of the Vinyl, which makes it an ideal storage medium.
